Hand stretch films, or stretch films, are mainly used for shrink wrapping and securing palletized goods and packages. They have similar properties to fresh-keeping films, they can be stretched very well and after stretching they contract, thus holding the goods tightly. The standard size is 50 cm wide and 17 microns thick, which is suitable for securing goods during warehouse and goods transport work.
The basic material of stretch film is linear low density polyethylene and unsaturated hydrocarbons, the ratio of which influences one of the most important properties of the film, its stretchability. They are made in 17 and 25 my thicknesses in transparent and black versions. An adhesive-coated version is also available, which further enhances the effectiveness of the fastening. With proper use of stretch film, it not only fastens, but also protects the goods from dust and moisture. The film keeps the cargo fixed during the entire transport period.
