It is also possible to dispense alcohol-based hand sanitizer gel, but the consistency of the product is not important. There are thick jelly-like and thinner products. We definitely recommend using the more fluid gel (e.g. Caosept hand sanitizer gel ). With this product, it is very important that the dispenser has a closed system, because the alcohol evaporates quickly. In the absence of alcohol, the substance thickens and the dispenser becomes clogged, which can only be removed by washing.
Most liquid soap dispensers are also suitable for gel dispensers, but even with thinner gels, the alcohol evaporation can cause the hand sanitizer to thicken at the spout. This usually only occurs with infrequent use and is easily remedied by removing any residue clogging the pump head and the dispenser will continue to operate without any problems.
